Getting a new sled next year the only problem im having is deciding on which sled i should get. Money is always a facture of course since the freeride is $13,000 and the Summit is $9,869 but i wanna hear which one you DOO guys think is and would be better and reasons why....THANKS!!!!

I'm in the same boat! Can't decide between the freeride 154 and the summit x 154. Have heard the freeride is a little heavy on the front end, but has a really good suspension

It seems as if the only difference between those two sleds will be the weight, the extra bracing from the factory and the shocks which arent valved good to start with. Go with the x package save yourself the weight add the bracing you want and update the shocks.

Have you ridden a Freeride? I don't own one, nor do I ride that style, but I gave my friend's Freeride a fair shake and I was VERY impressed. And I hear they will come in a 146" and 163" variety as well for 2012 :)

I rode a 154 E-tech freeride today. It works just like a Summit..........until you jump it. If you like going big and banging the :bump2:, you'll love the Freeride.

I do have a freeride actually and also they dont make a 163 freeride its a 137, 146, and 154 love the freeride although the shocks are a bit weak but over all love the sled.

Two different sleds. The Freeride is for jumpers and droppers. The Summit is better suited for boondockers. Whichever you ride more should be the determining factor.

Totally Agree. I got the Spring order Summit X 154, and then put some extra support on the rails, and compared to my 2009 I can boondock and carve in 6inches of snow with half the effort and no getting kickback like I used to. It's not bad at drops and jumps too, but at my age, I'm not going off of cliffs. Can't wait to get back up there.
