Really? A new section because it has tilting suspension and a heated glovebox?

I was expecting more from BRP, and hardly think this machine requires its own section.

Since Ski-Doo gave it a new chassis designation, I agree, it needs it's own section.

I thought for sure with the sales that Polaris has enjoyed for the last couple of years Ski-Doo would have had a break through on weight along with the new stuff. Oh well.

No, because it has a ported snow flap, LED tailight and a super gay looking pow deflector.

Seriously though, some cool ideas being brought to life but facts are facts. Same HP, same weight. but yet in every Norona video I saw, BRP was touting increased power to weight. Now, I'm no mathmatician expert, but there are two factors in power to weight. Power and weight. Now Power has to be increased or Weight has to be decreased for this ration to improve. So, since these two factors remain unchanged how does one conclude an increase in P2W?

The "M" and the "P" are different. :behindsofa:

About as much change as there was from the Dragon to the Pro....OK, maybe that a bit of a stretch, but same basic engine and drivetrain while the rest of the sled is different enough in the susp. and plastic to warrant a whole new forum section full of issues to deal with. :face-icon-small-win

Not saying the Doo is lighter then the Poo, but power to weight
Doo 154 @ 464lb/ 163hp 2.86lb per 1hp
Doo 163 @ 472lb/ 163hp 2.89lb per 1hp
Poo 155 @ 417lb/ 140hp 2.97lb per 1hp
Not sure if the real weight of the Poo is really 417 but has to be close, and yes it will be a great sled just like the Doo, But after riding the 12 / 163 ETEC this weekend in 3' plus of fresh powder, i'm hooked, that sled flat ripps, and with the refinements made on the 13, there will be one if not two in my garage this fall! and yes these new XM's are different from the XP's and cant wait to ride it!

On the same dyno on the same day there is a 6 hp difference not 23 so I'll use the right number.
Pro 155 at 417 pounds and 146 hp= 2.86 pounds/hp
Summit 154 at 464 pounds and 152 hp= 3.05 pounds/hp
And the pro make more hp to track so let's line them up

Where did you get 140hp from? Here in Norway they dyno at 150+hp, max ive heard of is 154hp and lowest is 147hp, and the Ski Doo etec around the same.

First. You wil NEVER NEVER NEVER get an honest hp number from Cat, Poo or Doo.

Second. The Etec does have more power than the Pro. You can feel it.

Third. You will NEVER NEVER NEVER get an honest weight number from Cat, Poo or Doo

But for me 417 pounds is a pretty tough one to believe. What was sacrificed for weight. When Doo said the XP was 450ish pound they got hammered and the pinecone jokes came to be.

So what/where did Poo put 50 pounds? That's alot of weight to shed for stock sleds. The exhaust still looks pig heavy, so that leads me to believe it got shaved here and there on the chassis. Pretty scary, IMO. And no, the chaincase wasn't that heavy. So when do we start the stiff wind jokes about the Pro? LOL, just kidding.

I have a friend that built a 800cc PRO that weighed in at 389 and to achieve that he spent hours and dollars doing it. I have no idea how much tho.
