We've got a bunch of KTM 450's in the Canadian Rockies. They go great.

The Yamaha's in these photos are bone stock WR's that still have all the emissions garbage on the carbs. They did great in the powder. Your KTM would run away and leave the stock WR's.

I could see laying one over in the deep deep powder being a challenge to get up. Sometimes I can't even move in the waist/chest deep stuff.

If it's steep and you tip it over "bars downhill" (did it in a chute on Saturday...) you just grab the ski hoop and pull it downhill- it's pretty easy.

If you're in the flats and it's chest deep when you tip it over- that's not so fun, but it's still quick to get unstuck. The center of gravity on the newer dirt bikes is low.

There are no permanent mods to your bike. You remove the airbox and run a Unifilter with an Outerwears skin on it (comes with the kit)

RadiX kits sell for $4249. You can contact your local motorcycle dealer, or 2Moto to get one for your bike.

You can find more info Here

Thanks!

Ever have any carb issues in snow like that?

Of course. In 8 years of product development, we've had plenty of carb issues in the deep dry powder. It's been amazing to see how well dirt bikes actually do in the cold, and in the powder. Two strokes are not as forgiving as the 4 strokes.

Sleds have had 30+ years of powder testing, and now they're pretty good; but I still had to do some work to my 975 to make it right. There's no perfect solution when you're under the snow, and everything has good and bad days.

We've tested most everything like foam filters, wire screens, pipe wrap, synthetic fiber filters, door screen material- you name it. I've even had soffit vents on a bike... the good news is we've got it dialed in now. The customers WR's in the photos were stock, with no powder screens, and we got them to run 95% of perfect. With a little powder screen, they would have run 100% like the rest of our bikes did.

Great question! Here's a photo of the screen we zip tie on for the deep days- you can see through it to the pod/Outerwears filter-
Thanks-
