New to old gauge hole

I just put a new hood on my M7 and the gauge hole is the small circle the gauge it requires is the larger that's not perfectly circle, my question is, is my only option to cut it out? or does someone make an adapter or will the new style gauge plug into my harness?

these are only going to go from large to large and small to small.

take a jig saw and some masking tape and cut it out.

Pretty sure you could use the (older) large lifter to mount to the (newer) smaller hole in the hood.
