Are the 3r reeds better at withstanding non-intercooler heat? Just running stock reeds about 500 miles on them on a silber setup.
Don't feel like smoking the stock one on some big pulls this spring if the 3r will handle the heat better.

If your are a bit fat on the bottom then yes they could clean that up a little as they are stiffer.

I just tried the VF 3r on my MTNTK kit and the idle was lower, it sometimes required a little throttle to start and I developed some low end hesitation that I never had before. Went back to the stockers and normal again. The only wildcard is I left the stuffers in with the VF. MTNTK instructions say to remove them but I thought the VF were a better design and not a restriction.

I have seen Stock go 750ish and Boyseen go 400-600, Still going on the Vforce 3r so not sure. There is some factors that can change things.

Just put the Vforce reeds from the Axys in my turbo Pro. It has created a low end severe hesitation stumble until about 5500 RPM. Talked to my turbo builder. He said in some non HO engines he has heard of the problem. I think it is hit or miss. No pun intended
