Will a 280 Conquer track and 7 tooth 3" drivers have more or less cleanace than a stock 2.4 track setup?

See if I can do the math.
2.4 set up.
8 tooth X 2.86 = 22.88
Radius of 22.88 circle = 3.64
3.64 + 2.4 = 6.04
2.8 set up
7 tooth x 3 =21
Radius of 21" circle = 3.35
3.35 + 2.8 = 6.15
By the math it's a .10 tighter.
