Anybody cut off the rear running board section?

Has anyone cut this piece down or completely off? it seems to love to hold snow and ice

I cut it off on my sled. It helps with snow buildup but doesn't kill it. The area is easier to stomp out what does build up with those pieces gone.

Cut it off.
Mark it with masking tape, cut it, then sand or debur it. Will look factory when your done and most people wont even notice. It does reduce snow build up.
I like to use an air saw to cut it. Eric

I've cut them off when installing aftermarket boards. Then re-installed stock boards again after it was cut off with no ill effect on rigidity. Positive effects on snow clearing. Make it gone.
