Would love a chance to see grams out tearing up some good fresh:) We'll have to take her up to my ridge where the big dogs ride. After the dismal 150 miles I rode last year doesn't seem like it could get much worse!!! Have been thinking about doing the Saturday Sledfilm this year if I can get somebody from down here to go up with me.

A good year is 800 miles for us. A busy year is 400 miles. For California rode less than 50 miles. The only reason I was able to do 50 miles is ride during the storms cause it melted about as fast as it came down.

NEVER had more than 2 feet at any one time at 9500 feet last year ... and the north shady side was all ice.

Yes you're gonna get snow .... just don't know how much and at what altitude snow base starts

I was talking with my grandpa about this the other day and he said the old timers use to say on years when they had lots of fires throughout the northwest there would typically be a harder winter with more moisture, Due to all of the particulates in the atmosphere.

It seems like the whole damn state has burned. Maybe something good will come from it

I've seen lots of different forecasts. The most common one seems to say above normal temps for us by about 2-3 degrees, but normal precipitation amounts, with possible intermittent cold snaps. Washington state is supposed to get more hit by the negatives of El Nino than Oregon. Washington state, espcially farther north, is forecasted to be mild and low precip, but Oregon, from everything I've seen is supposed to be normal precip with a potentially slow start (mid december).
