Bear lodge today. It will melt but shows a good start. But the hunting will be good.

Come On Winter!

It was a long summer, ok, not really...The only month in the last 12 that we have NOT had snow was July. This summer our highest temp was 72°.

We had about 7" of snow in the last go round, but the it's gone and temps have been in the 50's and will continue for the next week or so.

The hunters staying with us have been pretty lucky. Unlike last year when a foot of snow skunked most of them.

Winter is booking fast! February is pretty full with clubs booking the whole Lodge.

We're adding a new feature that might give you more incentive to ride the extra miles to stay here....

Hope to see you!

Is there a certain date that a guy has to wait to ride the horns. For some reason Dec 15 sticks out in my head? What is the Rule?

I think that dec 15h is when the trail system grooming starts.
I agree Luke Sanders and Luke Morss at the backcountry Navigators are great. Went for a ride with them last season and manage to get lucky with the snowfall and had a awesome day and came back to the trailer on fumes both the sled and me. They will go as crazy as you like as far as terrain and they done leave you burried they were with anyone suck in a minute or two giving a hand so the people paying didnt waste any time or sweat pulling themselves or others in the group out.

It hit 60 in dayton at the foothills yesterday from the little ive heard its real thin still. Prime time for bending A-Arms. Snow is in the forcast for thanksgiving week though.
