We call these "magic skis" because we like how they handle powder and still turn easy, even being 7 inches wide. I modified a set to out on our new 2014 Viper. Hard to beat 209 bucks to your door.

How do those camoplast skis hold up, i heard they are hollow inside, and wear through quickly, any truth to that?

I've been around too many rental sleds to ever recommend those skis. But if you're easy on them, then go ahead.

I used to like the SLP SLT skis or a set of C&A Pros. Probably the two best performing skis for that chassis.

I have been using them on every sled I had since 2005. Girlfriend 3 years ago t boned me on her nytro, destroyed the front end and guess what was the only thing we didn't need to replace on the right front? These cheap skis, they bent and bent back instead of breaking.

And what DOES hold up on a rental sled?

To the original poster, spend double the price if you want a "quality" ski but all 3 of my new sleds are going to run them.

I run Simmons Gen II on mine, turns on a dime, floats on the powder, even with my 300lbs on it. Just my .02. P.S. They look goofy as hell, but the price was right, never regretted it.

Put CA XTs on mine last year from my 2010 Sno pro 600 and they work pretty good. Even for a big sx carbide she handles like a champ. I put my set on a 99 phazer and the 128x1.7 track from my SP also when I up graded to a 141x2.

I have two with Simmons 1. One with Simmons 2. Ones are not bad. Don't like the twos unless the snow is really good. Friend has powder pros. I like those the best of those.

The camoplast skis are Horrible Out of about 6 of use with newer nytros that they came on i dont think one pair lasted more the 500 miles. They do noth have a smooth bottom so snow sicks to them like crazy. Once you poke a hole in one of them they fill up with water and weigh a lot more. I run the 7 in Sly dogs on my sleds and love them.
