Did they have a recall on or does anyone know how to keep the oil tank cap from leaking

I've had good luck just putting a couple wraps of black electrical tape on the tank threads and do NOT overtighten....if the tank mouth is oval shaped, it has been overtightened. The aluminum inserts help, but mine still leaked...the electrical tape fixed it.

We hated this problem as well and decided to fix it and make putting oil in every time much more simple.. so, we designed and built a special cap..
