Polaris Fuji 488 Cylinder bore question

Hello, I got my cylinders back from the shop and noticed some pretty bad scoring on the top 1/2" of the cylinders. Shop said they were from measuring tools and not to worry. Just wondering if some rather bad looking scores in a new bore and hone job is normal?

I would question that. If it was a new cylinder job, you should only be seeing hatch marks from the cylinder hones. Measuring tools might leave shiny spots where they were in the cylinder, but that sounds sketchy.

Does it feel smooth? I did a set of cylinders a month ago and for the life of me I could not get some scoring look out but ti was smooth and still in spec for STD pistons so I built it.
