Product Review: IceAge Bomber Rails

August 2016 Product Tests, Feature Steve Janes

For aggressive snowmobilers who ride in severe terrain, you want to have the best product under you when you pound the backcountry. IceAge has designed a set of slide rails that can handle whatever you throw at it—from making big drops to pounding your way down a bumpy trail.

Last winter the editors of SnoWest ran a set of IceAge Bomber Rails on our Project Ski-Doo. The bumps and jumps were no problem for the Bomber Rails.

IceAge took its standard replacement rail and beefed it up to maximum strength with minimum weight gain. They are designed for professional backcountry riders who put their rails through the test on every ride. The beams are strong where the stock rails are weak.

IceAge also altered the front curve of the rails, giving the track an improved approach to lessen the tendency to dig down rather than climb up. The approach design is a noticible improvement over stock.

The Bomber Rail retails for $395 and are designed for all four snowmobile brands. For more information, contact https://www.iceageperformance.com.
