Polaris Plans $1.75 Million Expansion In Osceola

Polaris Industries, a Minnesota manufacturer of all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles and Indian motorcycles, is expanding its engine plant in Osceola, a move that will create 60 new jobs and retain 200 existing positions, Gov. Scott Walker's office said last week.

The $1.75 million expansion in Polk County will increase the plant's production capacity up to 40 percent, the governor's office said in a news release.

The Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. is providing the company with up to $234,000 in tax credits for the project, with the credits contingent upon Polaris creating 60 jobs over the next three years, according to the governor's office.
