Amber Holt of Backcountry Basics has announced she will be opening a 2000-acre technical snowmobiling training center in Island Park, ID, for the 2011-12 season. This center is in addition to the original base location in McCall, ID, and the Arctic Cat Dealer Hosted Program which is conducted in several convenient locations dispersed throughout the Western, Midwestern and Eastern Regions.

 

"With the support of Arctic Cat snowmobiles, we continue to grow toward our goal as a worldwide educational resource every season," Holt said. "I want to be able will to grow the passion stronger within the current enthusiast base out there along with introducing `new blood' to this industry through an unintimidating approach."

 

As an industry leader in the segment of fundamental snowmobile education Backcountry Basics will offer the very first man made snowmobile technical terrain center. This training center includes an onsite groomer that maintains the technical terrain course that is specifically designed for students to master and refine basic backcountry riding skills and techniques.

 

Just as a professionally trained Olympic athlete will train on the most basic training platform for the "Gold," Backcountry Basics has embraced this training concept and now can deliver it exclusively to clients.
