Here’s your reminder that there is still some snocross (and hillcross) racing left this season.
If you attended the first Sledfest a year ago at Schweitzer Mountain, the adrenaline is already pumping for this year’s event. If you didn’t attend, there are more reasons than ever to attend this year’s Sledfest April 17-18 at Schweitzer Mountain Resort.
This year’s two-day event promises to have even more excitement with all the snocross and hillcross action a person won’t want to miss. There will be snowmobiles and snobikes, an X-Games rider making appearances and Rockstar kicking in freebies for the crowd.
Saturday will feature the elimination rounds of both snocross and hillcross and 120cc kid’s class snowmobile racing s on a special track built just for them. Sunday will feature the finals for all classes, from 120cc to Semi-Pro and Pros. Sunday also includes a special Sweetheart race with couples sharing a snowmobile to the finish line. This race is always a crowd pleaser and you won’t want to miss it.
Besides racing, there will be plenty of vendors with awesome displays and Schweitzer will have the bar and restaurant open throughout the event. The hotel at Schweitzer Mountain and all Sandpoint hotels and motels are taking reservations but rooms are going quickly, so make your reservations early.
A special thanks goes to Schweitzer Mountain Resort, Sandpoint Winter Riders Snowmobile Club and Mountain West Racing for putting this event together. Of course, none of this would be happening without the overwhelming time and effort put forth by Jeff York.
